Within the framework of its interest in enhancing Arab scientific cooperation and expanding the horizons of partnership between research institutions, the Akad Center for Economic and Financial Studies (ACEFS) participated among the research centers participating in the first conference of the Arab Network of Scientific Research Centers, which was held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on October 4 and 5, 2026, organized by the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils and in cooperation with Egyptian scientific institutions.
The Center’s participation in this Arab scientific event stemmed from its interest in supporting initiatives aimed at developing the scientific research system, enhancing communication between Arab research and studies centers, exchanging experiences and knowledge, and developing joint research projects that contribute to addressing economic, financial and developmental challenges in the Arab region.
The Center emphasizes the importance of establishing the network as an institutional framework to enhance integration between Arab scientific research centers, coordinate research efforts, encourage cooperation in the preparation of joint studies, and exchange scientific experiences, in order to enhance the contribution of scientific research in supporting sustainable development and the formulation of knowledge-based economic and financial policies.
The Aked Center for Economic and Financial Studies looks forward to strengthening its outreach with the network and its affiliated centers, and exploring opportunities for future cooperation in the fields of economic and financial research, public policy, governance, institutional reform, digital transformation, and other priority topics for Arab development.
The Akad Center for Economic and Financial Studies reiterates the importance of joint Arab research work, and its support for initiatives that contribute to building an effective Arab network of scientific institutions, capable of producing, exchanging and employing knowledge in the service of Arab societies.
