In a step that reflects its commitment to expanding scientific and knowledge-based partnerships, the Akkad Center for Financial and Economic Studies signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Al-Makeen Foundation for Sciences and Knowledge. The memorandum aims to strengthen integration in research, training, and cultural fields, while opening new horizons for institutional cooperation and the exchange of expertise.
The memorandum was signed during a meeting attended by representatives of both parties, as well as a distinguished group of academics, researchers, and individuals interested in scientific and economic affairs. Both sides emphasized the importance of establishing a shared knowledge environment that supports intellectual and economic development and enhances research and professional capabilities.
The meeting was attended by Professor Akeel Al-Hassnawi, President of the Center; Professor Ahmed Al-Yasiri, Deputy President of the Center; and Professor Maytham Al-Khaqani, Member of the Center’s Board of Directors. The agreement was signed by Professor Ahmed Al-Yasiri, Deputy President of the Center, representing the Center, and Assistant Professor Dr. Samah Mahdi Saleh, Executive Director of the Al-Makeen Foundation for Sciences and Knowledge, representing the Foundation.
The memorandum includes cooperation in organizing specialized seminars, conferences, and workshops, as well as launching training programs and joint research projects focused on contemporary economic and knowledge-related issues. These initiatives aim to strengthen both institutions’ roles in serving society and supporting scientific and cultural advancement.
Representatives of both parties affirmed that this step marks the beginning of a strategic partnership based on the exchange of knowledge and expertise, aligned with the requirements of scientific progress and rapid economic transformation, while also contributing to the promotion of a culture of research and institutional development.
The Akkad Center for Financial and Economic Studies continues its efforts to expand its academic and research network, stemming from its vision of building effective partnerships with scientific and knowledge institutions to support the development process and enhance the production of rigorous economic knowledge.
